The History

About Kristiana L. Gomes

Kristiana graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 2003 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2007. She received her Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University, where she graduated cum laude.

Kristiana began her career at the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County, where she litigated a wide variety of cases and gained a reputation as a zealous advocate for her clients. In 2012, Kristiana founded her own law firm, focusing on assisting clients with complex family law, divorce and criminal justice matters.

Kristiana has dedicated her career to serving the Long Island community, particularly people presented with challenging legal problems related to divorce and separation. Kristiana is fluent in English and Spanish.

She has worked closely with the LGBTQ community to assist clients with the nuanced issues that are presented in same sex divorce and custody matters. Kristiana has negotiated and litigated many divorce cases involving complex asset distribution, including businesses.

Kristiana is an active member of the Matrimonial Bar Association, as well as the panel of Attorneys for Children for the Appellate Division, Second Department. Accordingly, Kristiana has unique training and experience in handling matters which affect families and children.
